The state of product pages that need JavaScript

8 of 75 audited stores hide the product name or price until JavaScript runs, on every product page we sampled.

Most AI agents read the HTML a server sends and never run the scripts a browser would. A price drawn in by JavaScript is a price the agent cannot quote, on a page that looks complete to everyone who checks it in a browser.

Why it matters, and how to fix it

Why AI agents care

Many AI agents read the raw HTML and do not run JavaScript. If your price is drawn by a script, they see a page without a price.

The fix

  • Any platform: Render product name and price on the server (server-side rendering or static generation), not only in the browser.

How we measured

  • Every store on our public benchmark lists got the same audit as AgentReady's free check. This page counts one of its 16 checks across all of them.
  • 75 of 113 stores returned a result for this check; 38 could not be checked and are left out of every number above.
  • Audits ran from our servers in Singapore. Real AI agents visit from their companies' own networks, so firewall results are a strong signal, not proof.
  • Lists are chosen by hand and refreshed monthly. Last run October 11, 2026.
